Successful Completion of CME: Lipid Nexus – Advancing Cardiovascular Knowledge
Hygia Superspeciality Hospital is proud to share the successful completion of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) program “Lipid Nexus – Where Knowledge Connects Practice.” The academic session was organized in association with the North Kamrup Doctors Association with educational support from Mankind Pharma.
The CME was held on 6th March 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Galaxy Dine, Jalimura, Rangia Road, Kamrup, Assam, and witnessed active participation from physicians and healthcare professionals from across the region. Lipid Nexus-2

Management of Acute Myocardial Infarction in Primary Health Care
The first session was delivered by Dr. Samorjit Saikia (MBBS, DA, MD) who highlighted the importance of early recognition and timely management of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in primary care settings. Expanding Role of Rosuvastatin in ASCVD: Focus on Ezetimibe
The second session was delivered by Dr. Bikash Rai Das, CTVS, Senior Cardiothoracic Surgeon and clinical leader at Hygia Superspeciality Hospital. The lecture focused on the evolving role of lipid-lowering therapy in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), including the combination of Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe for improved cardiovascular risk reduction in high-risk patients. CME on Beta Blockers Successfully Conducted at Hygia Superspeciality Hospital
Hygia Superspeciality Hospital, Guwahati, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on 22nd February 2026 on the topic:
“Beta Blockers – Practical View with Focus on Bisoprolol”
The academic session witnessed enthusiastic participation from leading physicians and specialists across the region, reflecting the growing commitment towards evidence-based cardiovascular care and rational pharmacotherapy.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Minturanjan Dutta, CEO, Hygia Superspeciality Hospital, who highlighted the institution’s vision of promoting continuous medical learning and collaborative healthcare.
The main scientific presentation was delivered by Dr. Bikash Rai Das, Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon, who elaborated on the clinical relevance, safety considerations, and practical applications of beta blockers, with special emphasis on Bisoprolol in routine cardiovascular practice.
